1. About this policy and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the PayBiil website at paybiil.com, our iOS and Android mobile applications, early-access and enquiry forms, and related communications (together, the “Services”). PAYBIIL LTD (company number 17374104), registered at 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA, is the developer of the PayBiil apps and the controller of personal data described in this policy.
PayBiil is in early access. The current mobile release is a locally bundled planning and product-readiness app. It does not create an account, authenticate users, initiate live remittance transfers, request or process KYC information, accept payment details, hold funds, or provide executable transfer quotes.
2. Information handled by the current mobile app
If you choose to save a planned corridor, the app stores the selected origin, destination, and transfer method only in local storage on your device. PayBiil does not receive this preference. You can remove it at any time under More → Clear saved data, or by uninstalling the app. The app uses operating-system features for haptic feedback and the share sheet. If you choose a policy, contact, or other PayBiil link, it opens paybiil.com in a secure browser surface; information handled there is covered by the website sections below.
The shipped early-access app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, contact access, precise or approximate location, camera, microphone, push notifications, authentication, KYC, payment entry, or live remittance API calls. We do not collect the on-device corridor preference, app activity, device identifiers, diagnostics, financial information, or other personal data from this app.
3. Information collected through the website and communications
When you submit a website form or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, company, area of interest, and message. Our hosting, form-processing, and security providers may also process basic request and security information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser or device type, requested page, referring page, timestamps, and server or security logs. We do not state that analytics or advertising SDKs collect information because none are used in the shipped mobile build.
4. How and why we use information
- To respond to enquiries and manage early-access requests.
- To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the website and communications.
- To understand business interest and plan future PayBiil services.
- To evaluate potential business and infrastructure relationships.
- To comply with law and protect our rights, users, and systems.
Under UK data-protection law, our legal bases are steps taken at your request or performance of a contract where applicable, our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and developing PayBiil and responding to business enquiries, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Future regulated services
If PayBiil later enables live remittance or other regulated services, additional information may be required, such as identity and verification records, payment and recipient details, transaction information, fraud and compliance information, and customer-support records. Such information would be processed only when the relevant feature is available and under an updated notice.
Regulated activities are intended to be performed by appropriately authorised payment, KYC, banking, foreign-exchange, and payout providers where available. Those providers may act as processors, independent controllers, or joint controllers depending on their role and legal duties. PayBiil has not enabled this processing in the current release, and this statement does not claim that any production provider agreement or partnership has been signed. We will identify relevant providers and their roles before live processing begins.
6. Service providers and other disclosures
For website and communication data, we may use service providers for website hosting and content delivery, form processing, email and communications, security, technical support, and professional advice. They may process personal data only to provide their services to us, subject to appropriate contractual and confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, or other parties where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, to protect people or systems, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal data or share mobile-app data for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where the destination is not covered by UK adequacy regulations, we use an appropriate safeguard where required, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful mechanism, together with supplementary measures where appropriate. You may contact us for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.
8. Retention, deletion, and account deletion
The mobile app creates no PayBiil account and sends us no app data. Its optional corridor preference remains on the device until you clear it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. There is therefore no mobile-app account for PayBiil to delete.
We keep website enquiries and related communications only for as long as needed to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, protect the Services, and meet legal obligations. Technical and security logs are retained for the period reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Retention varies according to the nature of the record, our relationship with you, legal requirements, and the need to establish or defend claims. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. To request deletion of information you submitted through the website or communications, email privacy@paybiil.com.
9. Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including HTTPS for public web pages, access controls, data minimisation, and service-provider safeguards. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive identity, KYC, or payment information through general enquiry forms because those features are not enabled.
10. Your UK GDPR rights
Subject to applicable conditions and exemptions, you may ask us for access to your personal data; correction; erasure; restriction; data portability; or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent and may have rights concerning solely automated decisions. The current app makes no solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children. The early-access mobile app is intended for people aged 18 or over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the website, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here, change the “Last updated” date, and provide additional notice where a change materially affects how we use personal data. Before adding accounts, analytics, KYC, payment processing, live transfers, notifications, or partner SDKs to the app, we will reassess this policy and the applicable Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data Safety declarations.
